Jeremy Renner on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” expressed in His Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star Paul Rudd made a fake cameo video to wish him a speedy recovery following his January snowmobile accident. The “Hockey” actor was hospitalized for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and broke more than 30 bones in his body after his snow plow ran over him.
“I talked to Chris Evans. I talked to a lot of friends, and their reaction made me realize, ‘Oh, I think I’m going to hurt myself so much, I’m not going to get out of this,'” Renner said when asked how his Marvel co-stars reacted to his accident. “They were horrible. The actors, they couldn’t hide that I was bad.”
“So Rudd, whom I love very much, was promoting his film in the city [‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’]”Renner continued. “He came to the hospital a couple of times and always made my day because he was one of the funniest people. Then he sent me a video message. Anyone know Cameo? They can pay and say ‘Hey, happy birthday’ to some movie star. So he made a fake cameo. I didn’t even ask him. He made a fake like I paid for a cameo.
Renner brought a clip of Rude’s fake cameo, which included the cameo logo.
“Hey Jerry, I hear you’re on a bit of a roll,” Root says in the video. “Fought with a snowman? Anyway, I wanted to send this video. It’s really from the heart and I hope you’re feeling better. It sounds like you are. Obviously, you’re a very tough person.
Root continues, “Maybe I’ll meet you one day, wouldn’t that be something? In the meantime, take care for a while. Next time, let the snow melt! Feel good, Jerry!”
Although he’s still recovering, Renner is doing well enough to be on a small press tour for his new Disney+ series, “Rennervations.” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” His appearance in the! Marking his first talk show appearance since the accident, he will attend the world premiere of “Renervations” on April 11 and participate in a post-screening Q&A.
