Hoda Kotb makes a brief pre-recorded appearance on the ‘Today’ show amid a ‘family health issue’

After a two-week absence due to “family health,” Hoda Kotb appeared briefly in a pre-taped interview on Friday’s episode of the “Today” show.

Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones and Carson Daly – all of whom are filling the code, 58. Introduced his “Recently” filmed clip Interview with Chloe Lattansey and John Easterling, daughter and husband of the late Olivia Newton-John.

In an interview that first aired during Code’s final live broadcast on February 17, the broadcaster discussed the actress’ “beautiful legacy” with Latancy and Easterling.

“My mother was a pioneer, a rebel in a good way. A healer,” Lattanzi, 37, said during an emotional interview on Aug. 8, 2022, discussing Newton-John’s sudden death.

The interview marked Kotb’s physical presence on TV screens since February 20 during a pre-taped appearance on “Today with Hoda & Jenna”.

Amid growing concern from fans over Kotb’s two-week absence, fellow “Today” show hosts revealed Kotb was gone “due to family health.”

“We know many of you are wondering how she is doing. We can tell you that Hoda is right, [but] She’s got a family health thing that she’s dealt with,” Melvin said on Wednesday’s live broadcast.

Melvin teased that Kotb would be “coming to the table here very, very soon.”

“We love you both,” Roker finished, blowing a kiss at the camera.

Jenna Bush Hager, co-host of Code’s “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” addressed her friend’s passing.

“Willie [Geist] Hoda is in support and we want to let you all know that we heard you, and Hoda is doing well,” Bush Hager told the audience Wednesday. “She has a family health matter she’s dealing with.”

Bush Hager, 41, and Geist, 47 — who are filling in for Codbe alongside Jones — both said they “love” and “respect” Codbe and can’t wait for her return “very, very soon.”

In Kotb’s absence, his “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie also fled the air mid-show after discovering she had tested positive for Covid-19.

Guthrie — who gave up Instagram to fast — did not share when she would return to the NBC morning show.

Kotb did not announce her absence or when she would return to the anchor desk.
